GROSSE ILE HIGH SCHOOL: 44
The JV lady Chiefs fought hard, but came up a couple baskets short vs Grosse Ile,44-40. While we didn't win, it was one of our better games overall as a team. Last time we played GI, the pressured us into a lot of turnovers and got out to a big lead early. This time around we were able to handle the pressure and make it a competitive game for 4 quarters.Maya Vargo, Victoria Kirk and Brooke Leporowski lead the team with 7 points each. Gabby Ison and Tiffany Burns had 6 points each. Ellah Bossick and Becca Mitchell played well on defense. Ellah had a few blocks and Becca had some key rebounds and steals. Overall it was a good showing by all the girls and a good game between both teams.
