The Huron girls kicked off their first meet of the season Saturday 8/28 at the Riverview Rockin' Relays, a brand new meet for the Huron League at the new home of Riverview Swimming (Seitz Middle School pool). Huron finished in 6th place with 102 points. Winning the meet was Milan High School with 506 points, Grosse Ile High School was runner up with 428 points. 

The Huron girls swam very well for an early season meet. Their best finish was a 4th place in the last event; the Under/Over Relay with the relay of Whitney Hertza, Ella Feldpausch, Lily McGunagle, and Amelia Campbell. The Medley Relay of Sophia Wellman, Lily McGunagle, Amelia Campbell, and Olivia Feldpausch, finished 7th, as did the 200 Freestyle Relay of Sophia Wellman, Olivia Feldpausch, Whitney Hertza, and Amelia Campbell. The Breast/Fly Relay of Elyse McGunagle, Lucy Snyder, Lily McGunagle, and Currin Meksula finished 8th, as did the Back/Free Relay of Alyssa Henninger, Whiteny Hertza, Olivia Feldpaush, and Ella Feldpaush. The meet was fun and rewarding for the girls.

The Huron girls will be working hard to prepare for their tri meet with Woodhaven and Flat Rock on September 9.
