ST. MARY CATHOLIC CENTRAL: 71
The girls varsity track team ran well on Tuesday, scoring lots of points and personal best times and distances, but it wasn't enough to pull off a win against the depth of the girls SMCC team. The Huron girls scored 56 points to their 71, the meet a nail biter up to the last few events.
Kelsey Trombly knocked it out of the park with her personal best throw in Shot Put of 36'7.5 earning herself first place and almost a school record. Kelsey also earned first in Discus with a distance of 82'2 and 3rd Place in the 100m Dash
Anderson earned first place in the 100/200/400 and ran a leg in the winning 4x200m Relay
Madelyn Barbour earned 2nd place in the 100m hurdles after tumbling across the finish line. In the 300 hurdles she rebounded to run a personal best time of 48.68 (hand-timed) to nearly break the school record. She also ran a leg in the winning 4x200m relay.
Mackenzie Whitehill earned 2nd Place in Discus.
Tiffany Burns earned 2nd place in high jump with a PR of 4'6.
Breeann Roupe earned 3rd place in high jump with a height of 4'6.
Addison Townsend ran a PR in the 100m hurdles earning 3rd and also a PR in the 300m hurdles earning 2nd.
Tiffany Burns, Cara Bean, and Natalie Carlile all ran their best times in the 1600m run. Cara Bean also had a PR in the 800m run
Kyla Simpson earned herself 3rd place in the 300m hurdles after running them for the first time this season.
Maddie Singer earned 2nd place in the 200m dash with a PR and time of 30.74. She also ran a leg in the winning 4x200m Relay.
