Huron Girls Varsity track team takes 3rd Place at Marauder Invitational

Despite the cold and blustery weather, there was nothing but smiles at the end of the Marauder Invitational. The boys track team took first and the Huron Girls track team took 3rd place scoring 110 points.

Junior Elizabeth Anderson had another phenomenal day taking first place in the 100m/200m/400m and running the 4th leg in the 2nd place 800m relay. Anderson broke her own 400m record by over a full second with a time of 57.04! 

Madelyn Barbour cleaned up in the 100m and 300m hurdles earning a first place medal in both. She also ran a leg in the 4x200m relay earning second place. 

The remaining legs of the 2nd place 4x200m relay were run by Chloe Evans and Maddie Singer. 

Senior and first year thrower is had to personal best performances. Earning herself first place in shot with a distance of 31'9.5 and 5th place in discus with a throw of 83'1. 

Cara Bean broke her personal best mile time for the season and then did it again in the 800m run. 

Breanne Roupe earned third place in high jump. Jordan Hickey brought home a 2nd place medal in long jump and Maddie Singer earned 4th in long jump. 

The 4x100m relay (J. Hickey/M. Singer/C. Evans/K. Trombly) also PRed earning 3rd place with a time of 55.94.

Other point earners of the night include: Mackenzie Whitehill (6th/discus), Addison Townsend (8th in 100m and 300m hurdles), Chloe Evans (6th/200 and 400m dash), and 6th place for the mile relay (Barbour, Carlile, Bean, and Hickey).
