Saturday June 5th Zeeland Stadium was buzzing with excitement. The Division 2 Track and Field State Finals were back after taking a year long break. The athletes and fans were more than ready to watch the athleticism of the elite track and field participants in the state. Despite the steamy weather it was a beautiful day. 

Senior Samantha Keller participated in the 100m hurdle pre-lims with a time of 17.68. She finished her high school career on high note despite not running in the finals. 

Stand out sophomore Elizabeth Anderson earned herself 3 All State (top 8) finishes and a new school record in her first appearance in the MHSAA State Finals. Liz placed 3rd place in the 100m Dash with a time of 12.72, 4th place in the 200m Dash with a time of 26.31, 3rd place in the 400 with a PR time of 58.98 that soundly broke the 37 year old record.Elizabeth also earned Academic All State Honors.
