The Huron Girls Track team walked into the Trenton Invitational short a few key players and walked out Champions of the Meet! Ida gave Huron a run for the money with their strong distance team, but Huron was able to pull off the win commanding the sprints, hurdles, and high jump. The Chiefs took a surprising first place in the 4x100 relay (Abby Russell /Madison Slane/Olivia Feldpausch/Jordan Hickey) which in turn boosted confidence and pushed the girls to compete even harder for the overall win! The girls took first place in 7 out of the 16 events and took home medals in 15. Outstanding athletes of the night were sophomore Elizabeth Anderson (1st in 100/200/400)and senior Samantha Keller (1st in 100H/300H). Abigail Murphy earned herself a first place in High Jump with Breeann Roupe coming in a close 2nd.
