The girls varsity track team competed in the MHSAA regional meet at Milan on Friday 5/17. 

With the weather finally cooperating for a change, it was a beautiful day for a track meet. With many of the girls literally racing the clock to get ready for Huron's Prom, the girls ran some great times and qualified 2 to the State Finals in Zeeland West. 

Congratulations to Samantha Keller earning her spot at the MHSAA Track and Field State Finals in the 100 Hurdles breaking her own school record with an official time of 16.13.  This will be her first finals appearance as a sophomore.  

Joining Sam at the state meet will be senior Ellie Fichtner. Jumping 16'7, getting a first place finish in the region, Ellie will be making her third appearance at the MHSAA state finals on June 1st. Ellie also finished 3rd in the region in the 200m dash with a time of 26.87. 

Congratulations to both girls for an outstanding season. Watch them and the other Chiefs compete at the Huron League Meet on Tuesday 5/21 at Milan.
