Huron Varsity Chiefs stayed in it until the end, but Flat Rock pulled away late in a 6-4 victory on Monday.  The game was tied at four with Flat Rock batting in the top of the eighth when an error scored two runs for Flat Rock.

"Being down 4 early like that and chipping away, what a fun way to get back into the game. Its a big rivalry game for both teams. So to keep it close and rally back 4 runs down, off a couple home runs, gets the juices flowing. The outcome wasn't what we hoped as we gave them two runs in the 8th inning but overall, ultimately knowing we can hang, knowing we can make that game-a game, I think that carries as much weight for momentum as anything. "
