Huron Varsity Chiefs got out to a seven-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for an 8-7 victory over Airport on Friday.  Airport scored six runs in the failed comeback on a single by Raschel Weaver, a double by Hailey Boitnott, and a home run by Kaitlyn Poe.

Huron Varsity Chiefs earned the victory despite allowing Airport to score six runs in the seventh inning.  Airport's big inning was driven by a single by Weaver, a home run by Poe, and a double by Boitnott.

Huron Varsity Chiefs fired up the offense in the first inning.  Huron Varsity Chiefs scored two runs when Sierra Diegel doubled.

Huron Varsity Chiefs put up three runs in the fourth inning.  Marissa Jackson and Emma Sic all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Zoe Peterson led things off on the rubber for Airport. The bulldog allowed ten hits and eight runs over five innings, striking out two.  RaeAnn Drummond threw one inning out of the bullpen.

Huron Varsity Chiefs collected ten hits on the day.  Jackson and Erin Newman each collected multiple hits for Huron Varsity Chiefs.  Newman and Jackson each managed three hits to lead Huron Varsity Chiefs.
