Huron Varsity Chiefs won big over St. Mary Catholic Central 12-1 on Wednesday.

"Credit the kids for their work this week. We have spent so much time inside its a bit tedious, but this weather has kept us from getting out doors. Our bats have been sluggish but they have remained disciplined to fixing the issues with our hitting and today was a good day. You need days like this at the plate where the balls just find the ground. We had zero strikeouts, changed our two strike approach, and made the defense make plays. What else can you ask for and it paid off. I think the highlight for me though is still our defense. For as young as we are on the field, we play like a mature team who knows where to be and when. Its really a lot of fun watching them work together out there."
