Huron Varsity Chiefs took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off double at the end of the game to topple Canton. The game was tied at three with Huron Varsity Chiefs batting in the bottom of the seventh when Marissa Jackson doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Canton got things started in the first inning.
Rylie Greggo was in the pitcher's circle for Huron Varsity Chiefs. The righthander surrendered three runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out five.
Grau was on the rubber for Canton. The pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs over six and a third innings, striking out ten.
Emma Sic led Huron Varsity Chiefs with three hits in four at bats. Huron Varsity Chiefs tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Erin Newman led the way with two.
