This is probably one of the best games of the year. Rival game! Usually in coordination with our annual Spaghetti Dinner. Emotions are high, atmosphere is awesome, as the stands are packed and the crowd feeds of game play. It is fun to be a part of this evening. More so when you can come out on top. 

I thought we came out well, we put the ball in play often, but didnt strike till the 4th inning. Thomas and Miles had themselves a day. Polites, Brinkerhoff, and Dioszegi had some nice hits in between as well. I think Miles busted the game open with a softly hit, perfectly placed bloop, that landed and kept the inning alive. Thomas hit the gap to score her, and Gyolai. From there, Miles delivered late in the game to secure one more run. She was all cylinders go, this evening. 

Brinkerhoff has a solid couple innings, even though she gave up two runs. She started off on fire and defensively the kids are making big plays behind her. Jackson is just a monster in centerfield. Scoops everything, everywhere. So much fun to watch play. 

• Huron Chiefs Varsity Defeats Flat Rock, 4-2
• Huron Chiefs Varsity took home a 4-2 victory over Flat Rock on Tuesday.
• Gracie Brinkerhoff was credited with the victory for Huron Chiefs Varsity. The righthander allowed four hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
• Clair took the loss for Flat Rock. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing 11 hits and four runs while striking out three.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity totaled 11 hits.  Madison Miles, Lauren Dioszegi, Caroline Polites, and Brinkerhoff each managed multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity.  Miles led Huron Chiefs Varsity with three hits in three at bats.  Huron Chiefs Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Emma Sic had the most chances in the field with 11.
• Flat Rock was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Inch made the most plays with ten.
