The way we started verse finished; I was very happy to see their focus come full circle. The top half of the first inning, Airport put 3 runs on the board. A three run shot that cleared the fence with ease left us a little rattled. The girls are fighting though for their first league title in a very long time. And this wasn't the game we felt could let slip away. They kicked it into high gear and came out swinging. Putting up 10 runs in the first inning. That was refreshing to see them respond in the way did. They stepped up in a big way answering back. From there Gracie continued to find her zone and we made two huge defensive plays. Jackson made a diving catch in the gap that saved 3 runs with bases loaded. And Miles who had a career offensive day, made a diving play in the hole to complete the third out of the inning. We know those are the plays that it is going to take for us to make any kind of run at districts or beyond, so I am happy to see them taking bigger risks and owing the field.
