We gave up an early run in the top of the first inning. I was a little uneasy with the ease that they scored-but we came right back in the bottom half and grabbed the run plus some. Never gave it back after that. The kids made some nice plays defensively, they took advantage of their at bats, and kept grinding each inning. They were in full control all game and thats a nice place to be. The game was called after the 6th inning due to weather.  They are getting more confident with each game. A solid win for the girls.

• Huron Chiefs Varsity jumped out to an early lead over Bedford and took home a 7-3 victory on Friday.  Huron Chiefs Varsity scored on a single by Marissa Jackson, a double by Caroline Polites, and a stolen base by Polites in the first inning.
• Gracie Brinkerhoff was the winning pitcher for Huron Chiefs Varsity. The righty surrendered three runs on three hits over six innings, striking out nine and walking one.
• J Vogel took the loss for Bedford. The bulldog lasted one inning, allowing two hits and one run while walking zero.
• #17 started the game for Bedford. undefined lasted four innings, allowing nine hits and six runs while striking out one
• Huron Chiefs Varsity tallied 11 hits on the day.  Emma Sic, Polites, and Jackson each collected multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity.  Sic led Huron Chiefs Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
• Bedford didn't commit a single error in the field. Vogel had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
