Incredibly proud of these kids today. It was a long two games but we came out hot and really kept pressure on Clinton each inning by staying consistent in the batters box.  We racked up 12 hits and scored multiple runs in every inning except two. We are focusing on becoming a hard out and keeping pressure on the defense as much as we can, and its creating a lot of opportunities for us. We continue to have TEAM wins and although our defense is a little shakey still, I see key things coming together for us. We had some miscues but had some really big defensive plays as well. 

• Huron Chiefs Varsity had everything working on Friday, winning big over Clinton 12-3
• Huron Chiefs Varsity fired up the offense in the first inning, when Marissa Jackson singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity notched five runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught came from a single by Alexis Thomas and a double by Emma Sic.
• Gracie Brinkerhoff was credited with the victory for Huron Chiefs Varsity. The pitcher surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
• #13 took the loss for Clinton. The pitcher went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out six.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity totaled 12 hits.  Thomas, Caroline Polites, and Lauren Dioszegi all had multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity.  Polites and Thomas each managed three hits to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.
• L Fair led Clinton with three hits in four at bats.
