We did not start the day out as hoped. Fell behind early and couldn't find the rhythm at the plate. On top of the struggles offensively, we faced key defensive situations and made some uncharacteristic errors. Although we made some errors, I think we also learned from them, which ultimately allows us to move in a positive direction.

• Huron Chiefs Varsity had a tough time generating runs on Saturday, dropping their game with Trenton 12-1.
• In the bottom of the second inning, Huron Chiefs Varsity tied things up at one.  Autumn Setser hit a solo homer.
• Trenton pulled away for good with seven runs in the third inning. In the third Olivia Raymonddoubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, L Williams doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, S Costello singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, K Gerhans singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, G Rickman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Raymond singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
• A Johnson earned the win for Trenton. Johnson allowed four hits and one run over five innings, striking out six and walking zero.
• Gracie Brinkerhoff took the loss for Huron Chiefs Varsity. The pitcher surrendered ten runs on 12 hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three.
• Huron Chiefs Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Setser had a homer in the second inning.
• Erin Newman, Logan Martin, Alexis Thomas, and Setser each collected one hit to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.
• Trenton tallied 14 hits in the game.  O Hickman, L Vallimont, Williams, Gerhans, and Raymond all managed multiple hits for Trenton. Trenton was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Hickman had the most chances in the field with six.
