Lady Chiefs go to 2-0 with a victory over Airport. Brinkerhoff kept their hitters off balance most of the game. Allowing only 4 hits. Defense behind her was pretty spot on. Turned a really nice double play with Thomas and Newman. Jackson threw out a runner at the plate on a defensive miscue as she was backing up the play. Really like where the team is heading as we continue to navigate a couple challenges and hurdles with in. The kids are eager and willing to play whatever position is needed to make the puzzle work. 

Gracie Brinkerhoff didn't allow a single run as Huron Chiefs Varsity defeated Airport 17-0 on Friday. Brinkerhoff allowed just three hits.

Huron Chiefs Varsity got on the board in the first inning when Autumn Setser singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

Huron Chiefs Varsity scored six runs in the fifth inning.  Erin Newman, Lauren Dioszegi, Caroline Polites, Sierra Diegel, and Alexis Thomas each drove in runs during the inning.

Brinkerhoff led the Huron Chiefs Varsity to victory in the pitcher's circle. The righthander lasted five innings, allowing three hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero.

RaeAnn Drummond was in the circle for Airport. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing six hits and 11 runs.  Taylor threw three innings out of the bullpen.

Huron Chiefs Varsity racked up 17 hits on the day.  Brinkerhoff, Marissa Jackson, Thomas, Dioszegi, Polites, and Newman each collected multiple hits for Huron Chiefs Varsity. Jackson and Brinkerhoff each collected three hits to lead Huron Chiefs Varsity.
