SHUMATE MIDDLE SCHOOL: 12
The Huron Chiefs 7th grade football team traveled to Shumate Middle School and came away with a 42-12 victory. The Chiefs dominated the game from start to finish. Micah Smith led the team with over 100 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, and 1 passing touchdown. Smith also led the team in tackles with 14. Christian Copley also rushed for over a hundred yards and two touchdowns. Brennan Caldwell had a rushing touchdown and played great defense for the Chiefs. Nate Morse caught another touchdown and also played well on defense. The Chiefs are now 4-0-1 on the season and finish up the year at home on Wednesday, October 17th at 4pm against undefeated Wagar Middle School.
