The Huron Chiefs 7th grade boys basketball team set a new school record with a huge win over the Airport (Wagar) Jets with a final record of 11-1.  The Chiefs leading scorers were Kyle Kantola with 12 points, Brennan Caldwell with 11 points, and Connor Grant with 11 points.  Most of Connor's points came from the free throw line, with 9/10 shots falling.  Micah Smith also had a notable effort with 8 points toward the win.  As with all of the previous games of this season, the defensive effort was strong.  

I'd like to say a few words on a personal note.  I'd like to thank the boys for an outstanding, record-breaking season.  Their effort and spirit was fun to watch.  I'd like to thank Jennifer Bronson and Abby for working our scoring table the entire season.  I'd like to send a special thank you to the parents.  They were great fans and represented Huron with class at every single game.  It was great to see our stands full for every game.  

It was truly a pleasure coaching these boys and I can't wait to see what they accomplish on the court together in the future!
