The 7th grade Renton baseball team split in their doubleheader against Monroe on Thursday.  

In the first game, the Chiefs lost a pitching duel to Monroe by a score of 3-0.  Marco Tyultki pitched 3+ innings giving up 3 runs while striking out 3 batters.  Gavin Moczydlowsky came in for relief for the last 2 innings giving up no runs while striking out two.  Gavin Moczydlowsky and Bradley Purcell each had a hit for the Chiefs in the loss.  

In the second game, the Chiefs rebounded with a 5-2 victory.  Wyatt Harris pitched a complete game, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out five and only giving up one hit.  Jeffrey Bowers, Marco Tyultiki, Gavin Moczydlowsky, and Wyatt Harris all recorded a hit in the Chiefs victory.  Rory Callahan caught 2 great games and also added a sacrifice fly for an RBI in the victory.  

The Chiefs are now 5-3 on the season and host Airport on Tuesday.
