The Renton Chiefs were unable to keep Monday's momentum going on Wednesday, losing to the Riverview Pirates by a score of 36 to 31.  This is the 8th loss out of the first 9 games of the season for the team.  The score was close the whole game, but the Chiefs were never able to get an edge on the Pirates and calls didn't appear to be going their way.  Riverview went to the free throw line 21 times versus only 8 for Renton.  Their defense seemed to have improved a lot, and although they appeared to have gained position, fouls continued to flow towards the Chiefs.  The questionable calls led to a few warnings to the Renton bench from the Ref.  With a tight game going into the fourth quarter, a combination of missed free throws and #14 from Riverview hitting 4 clutch 3-pointers, put the game out of reach.  Gavin Moczydlowksi kept the game close, putting up 14 points, 5 of which came in the 4th quarter.  Joshua Hendrix (6 pts), Rory Callahan (4 pts), Derek Anderson (3 pts), Cole Roberts (2 pts) and Drew Slane (2 pts) each contributed to the scoring.  The Chiefs go back to work on Monday to face Milan in Milan.  Renton lost that game by only 3 points, so we will try to get that one back.  Hope to see you there.
