The Chiefs lost their 7th straight game tonight to the Devils of Grosse Isle with a score of 35 to 24.  Despite the loss, it was the best the team has played all season.  There was a noticeable improvement in their defense, which seems to have come from a team playing for pride after an embarrassing loss on Monday to a much weaker team.  Switching from a Zone to Man-to-Man defense appeared to keep GI off balance, but their intense defense and aggressive full and half-court press forced the Chiefs into a season high 20 turnovers.  It was difficult for Renton to get into an offensive rhythm due to the Devils swarming defense.  Rory Callahan led the team offensively with 9 points, while adding 11 rebounds, a steal and a block.  Josh Hendrix got banged up down low and had to be pulled from the game for a bit, but was able to return, scoring 7 points and adding 5 rebounds.  Nik Crispin (2pts), Luke Coll (1pt), Gavin Moczydlowski (1 pt), Jeffrey Bowers (2 pts), and Derek Anderson (2 pts) each contributed to the scoring.   

The Chiefs believe they have turned a corner after today's game and hope to get their first win on Monday.
