Huron's bats were alive in game 1 of the doubleheader! The Chiefs tallied 11 hits in the game led by Conner Forster, Tyler Gray, and Dayton Miller who all collected multiple hits. On the mound, the Chiefs were led by Noah Banas who went 3 innings, surrounding only 1 hit and 1 earned run while striking out 5!
Game 2:
Huron - 3
Monroe - 6
Jefferson's big first inning ended up costing Huron the game despite the Chiefs out hitting the Bears. Jefferson was able to push 3 runs across the plate in the frame. The Chiefs answered in the second with Tyler Logsdon, Banas, and Forster all driving in runs. A significant bright spot for the Chiefs on the mound was when Gray came in as relief. The righthander threw hard and struck out all 4 Bears he faced!
