SHORT HANDED CHIEFS FALL TO CARLSON......

Huron playing with out 4 starters due to injuries or call ups played their best game of the season only to lose a close game to Carlson. The young Chiefs took the opening kick off and drove down the field to take a 8-0 lead after the 2 point conversion. The offensive line of Evan Ryan, Jordan Schiller ,Alexander Smith,Gage Wizinsky and Alexander Carr opened up holes all game long. Caleb Henninger scored on a 15 yard run to put Huron in the lead.  Carlson returned the kick off to the Huron 8 yard line and after a great goal line stand the Marauders finally scored on 3rd down. The Chiefs stuffed the 2 point conversion and held a 8-6 lead going into the 2nd quarter. Midway thru the 2nd quarter Henniger scored his 2nd TD of the day to put Huron up 14-6 as Carlson stopped the two point try. Carlson tied the score later in the 2nd quarter and the 2 teams went to the half tied at 14. Carlson scored on the opening drive of the 3rd quarter to take a 20-14 lead as again the Chiefs stopped the 2 point attempt. The offensive line continued their great blocking and gave Cole Grunwald time to hit Dushawn Johnson with a 40 yard strike to put the Chiefs back on top 22-20 but Carlson scored 2 touchdowns late for the final 34-22 margin.  Danyael Chavez , Garrett Russow and Cameron Scott stepped up and filled in late for injured teammates
