KANTOLA'S SINGLE IN BOTTOM OF 9TH BEATS AIRPORT 8-7....

It would not be Huron/Airport baseball with out extra innings . In back and forth game Airport and Huron exchanged punches in this exciting game. Airport jumped out early scoring 2 runs in the 1st but Huron came right back with 2 in the bottom of the 2nd. Airport struck for 4 in the 2nd inning and Huron responded with 3 in the bottom of the 2nd. Miles Grace came in in relief and settled thisgs down giving up 1 run thuse 6.2 innings giving the Chiefs a chance to catch up. After Airport scored 1 in the 4th to go up 7-5 Huron tied the game with 2 in the bottom of the 5th. Huron had a chance in the bottom of the 7th with 2 men on and 2 outs Morse hit a line drive up the middle and everyone at the ballpark thought was a game ending single but the Airport second basemen made a great diving catch to save a game winning hit.  Nate Morse walked to start the inning and was pinch ran for by Brenden McCarthy , Austin Odell drove a single threw a drawn in infield and with 1 out   Kyle Kantols hit a line drive single to right to easily score McCarthy for the win.
