The Junior Varsity Chiefs fought back after falling down by six runs in the fourth inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 7-6 defeat to Airport HS on Monday. The JV Chiefs put up five runs in the top of the 7th inning during the failed comeback. Brandon Hanson, Logan Garland, Jon Cady and Isaac Yates each contributed to the rally with RBIs.

The Chiefs tallied four runs in the seventh inning when Garland, Cady, and Yates contributed their RBIs in the big inning.

Brandon Hanson started the game for Huron.  He surrendered four runs on two hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one. Yates and Joey Devita entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and one and one-third innings.

Logan Garland went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead JV Chiefs.

Huron now stands at 5-5 on the season.

Airport HS totaled seven hits. Phillips and Warner collected multiple hits for Airport HS.
