The Hockey team got their first victory of the season with a battle against the Lakeshore Badgers. The squad opened-up a 3-0 lead before the Badgers would notch a Power Play goal to draw within 2 goals. The home team scored another to make it 4-1 before the Badgers would come back in the last couple of minutes to tally two goals in the third period.
Brandon Powers played well in goal for the United team. He saved 49 shots and only allowed the three goals. Scoring for NBU was team Captain, Jake Trythall. He scored a Hat Trick in the victory and was helped by Jaxon Zawodna with a pair of assists. Opening up the scoring was Kenny Stucki who found the net from the blue line. Also adding assists were Tanner Kuhn, VItek Ulman, and Cameron Tomsett.
The team takes on Southgate (Downriver United) this coming Wednesday at Southgate Civic Arena at 7:20 pm.
