ST. CLAIR SHORES: 3
In a great battle, both teams drew to a tie with 3 goals apiece. After a 4-1 loss to SCSU in the MAC Tournament in Mt. Clemens, the team rebounded and played much better this game. The HBAF squad had a 1-0 lead after the first period with a nice goal by Evan Estes with assists to Clay Hightower and Brett Putnam. SCS then scored a goal to tie at one.
NBU then scored on a Penalty Shot to lift the team to a 2-1 lead. No surprise, SCS battled back to tie it after 2 periods at 2 apiece. SCS then went ahead in the third before a game-tieing goal by Freshman Phenom, Logan Bloomer gave the team a tie at 3. Both teams played an exciting OT period exchanging opportunities but skated away with the draw. Playing well in net was Collin Page.
