In a tight game at the Toledo Ice House, the HBAF team skated away with a thrilling 7-6 OT win,  The game started well with a 3-0 lead in the first period.  Opening the scoring was Chris Begeman with assists to Cole McNulty and Clay Hightoweer,  The second tally was by Hightower with a sole assist to Evan Estes. The last goal of the opening stanza was by TJ Potcova on a blast with assists to Hightower and Cory Druihet.

In the second period, Bedford outplayed and outshot the boys from HU but Goalie Collin Page kept his team ahead.  Bedford scored 2 goals before NBU matched the goals by scoring with goals scored by Zach Hurd on two nice set-ups from Potcova to widen the lead to 3 again.

In the 3rd, some untimely penalties hurt as Bedford scored on 2 consecutive Power Plays to draw within 1 goal.  Finally after relentless pressure they did tie the game at 5 with 5 minutes to go. Clay HIghtower then scored with 3 minutes on the clock-unassisted and it looked the possible game-winner. It was not.  Bedford scored to even the game at 6. 

In overtime with shots at both ends of the ice, Evan Estes scored in a scrum in front of the net. A great win with tireless effort. With only 9 guys to finish the game the team worked hard and had great goaltending by Page for the win.
