NBU was invited to participate in the MAC showcase at Mt. Clemens Ice Arena, and it was an honor to take part in a great game and day of hockey for high school teams in the area.  Saint Clair Shores invited NBU to the showcase on MLK day and it was a good game and a first-class a Showcase.  State Champs and hosts Jonathan Kidd and Sean Balegian were on hand for all of the games and did a podcast of the games that can be found in the Michigan Hockey Hub home page.

It was a good game in the first as both teams skated off to a scoreless first stanza.  Both teams had some opportunities but good goaltending stood out.  In the second period, the SCS Unified team scored on a Power Play and had a 1-0 skating off to the last period.

In the third period, penalties hurt the NBU squad as SCS scored two more Power Play goals to have a 4-1 lead before NBU could get on the board.  Finally, NBU scored with a goal from Captain Clay Hightower with assists to Zac Sawdy and Zach Hurd.
