WOODHAVEN HIGH SCHOOL: 9
In a "Battle of Brownstown", the Woodhaven Warriors skated away with a convincing 9-2 score. In a close first period, Woodhaven took a 1-0 lead into the break. They scored 2 quick goals to open the second period before Clay Hightower scored for NBU with an assist from Darren Barber to draw to 3-1.
In the second period, Woodhaven scored 4 goals in a 2 1/2 minute span to take a 6-1 lead heading into the 3rd stanza. Woodhaven scored 2 and NBU scored 1 in a more even period by score only. Scoring for NBY was Ethan Cagle with a helper from Darren Barber and Corey Druihet. Barber was selected as the MVP of the game on a great effort by Darren. Woodhaven outshot NBU as Noah Kilmark did a great job stopping 23 of 25 shots.
