After a long trip to Lakeland, the Unified team skated away with a 6-1 victory.  Getting goals for the New Boston squad was Clay Hightower on a blast from the high slot.  Earning the second goal of the squad was Zac Sawdy on an assist from Ethan Cagle.  WLCWU pulled within a goal  to end the first period 2-1 despite being outshot 22-5.

In the second period NBU scored two goals to widen the lead with tallies from Cagle with a lone assist by Darren Barber.  Barber then scored two in a row as he moved from the defense to forward in the second period.  His goals were assisted by Cagle and TJ Potcova on the first and Chris Begeman and Hightower on the second.  Closing out the game was Cagle with another assist to Begeman.

Earning the victory in net was Cade Armstrong who played well in the outing.  Potcova was praised by both referees in playing a classy style of hockey.  He avoided contact with the goalie on a rush to the net in the second period and again when ending the game with 10 seconds on a 2-1 and holding the puck instead of drilling a shot to score.  That is great leadership and modeling for the team and the staff is proud of his performance and that of the team.
