JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL: 2
It was worth the trip. Out team headed to Jackson United for a tilt against a very good program. The boys took a 3-0 lead in the first with great passing and skating to open up the game. Leading the team in scoring was Logan Bloomer, Clay Hightower, and Ethan Cagle. Assists went to Bret Putnam, Nathan Wincel, and Darren Barber. The team outshot Jackson 18-6 in the opening stanza.
In the second period, both teams scored two goals and played an even period. Scoring for the United team of New Boston were both Ethan Cagle and Clay Hightower notching their second goal of the game. The only assist went to Zac Hurd.
Stealing the show was goaltender Cade Armstrong who played an excellent game and made 34 saves. The team moves to 2-0 in the early part of the season.
