BEDFORD SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL: 7
In the regular season finale, the United team fell to the Kicking Mules of Bedford. NB-B fell behind quickly 4-0 before scoring two goals in the second period to draw closer. Scoring went to Matthew Kosiba on a beautiful deek and then a goal by Cody Nill on a break away and then catching his own rebound scoring as well. Assists to Zac Sawdy on the Nill goal. Bedford pounded the puck in the United end and extended the score with three goals to close things out. All in all, the New Boston-Belleville allowed three power play goals and one short-handed one in the loss.
Defensively, both Darren Patterson and Cole McNulty stood out as well as Ryan Mann who stopped 21 shots on the day.
The team skates again Tuesday in the Pre-Regionals at 6:30 pm at the DISC in playing the Dearborn Unified team. Come support the team in their playoff fun.
