In a game versus league rival Riverview, we honored our players and their parents with a ceremony between the 1st and 2nd periods.  Senior Captains Cody Nill (Huron), Zac Murray (Huron) and Connor Mann (Belleville) were recognized. Additionally Seniors Matthew Kosiba (Huron), Ryan Mann (Belleville). Jakob Patterson (Huron) and Xavier Ryznar (Huron) were also recognized.

Showing the importance of Senior leadership, Connor Mann scored on a nice wrap-around in the first for a quick 1-0 lead.  Then after a 1-1 lead, Matthew Kosiba scored to give NB-B the lead.  After losing the lead 3-2, Junior defenseman Darren Barber tied the game at 3.  Kosiba then gave the team the lead with a goal in the second to give the team a 4-3 lead heading into the last period. 

In the third period, Riverview tied the game at 4 and then Junior Zach Hurd gave the team the game winner.  Scoring the last goal at home this season was Senior Zac Murray.  Assists on the goals were Connor Mann with 2, Jakob Patterson, Robert Slick, Evan Estes, Zac Murray, Xavier Ryznar, Darren Barber and Zach Hurd.  Earning the victory in net was Ryan Mann who has been amazingly steady for the last two seasons.

In fitting fashion, the Seniors and team saluted their family, friends and schoolmates with sticks raised at the completion of the game. An emotional and proud moment to witness a TEAM that works hard, plays hard and has stuck together in a season with many injuries and illness abound.
