Huron built a six-run lead int he fifth inning and then held off St.Mary Catholic Central's charge for a 7-5 victory on Monday.
Huron notched four runs in the fifth inning. Austin O' Dell and Gavin Moczydlowsky powered the big inning with RBI's.
Gavin and Nate Morse took the lead in the third when Morse singled on a 2-2 count scoring two runs.
Moczydlowsky got the win for Huron. The pitcher surrendered on run on three hits over five innings , striking out 11 and walking zero. Kantola, Gavin O'Hara adn Chad Martin all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory. Kantoly earned the save.
The Chiefs racked up eight hits on the day. Moczydlowsky, Myles Grace, and O'Dell each collected multiple hits for Huron.
