Two Huron Chiefs pitchers combine to defeat Belleville Tigers in shutout game,
Huron defeated Belleville 5-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a no hit shutout. Chad Martin was the winning pitcher for the Chiefs. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on no hits over 5 innings striking out 6. Martin was perfect thru 4 and 2/3's before a Belleville Tiger reached base, their only base running of the game. Kyle Kantola recorded the last 6 outs of the game to earn the save.
The Chiefs tallied nine hits on the day. Ashton Warren and Myles Grace all managed multiple hits for the Chiefs. Warren went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead the Chiefs. Grace had 2 hits, Gavin Muzzy , Gavin O'Hara, Jacob Handyside, Nate Morse all managed hits for Huron.
