Two Huron Pitchers Team Up In Shutout Victory Against Milan
The Chiefs traveled to Milan to defeated Milan 2-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Micah Smith induced a fly out to finish off the game for Gavin Moczydlowsky’s excellent performance.
Gavin Moczydlowsky was credited with the victory for the Chiefs. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine. Muzzy had the hitters off balance all night. Micah Smith threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen. Smith recorded the last out to earn the save for Huron.
Huron collected seven hits in the contest. Cole Grunwald and Rory Callahan all collected multiple hits for the Chiefs. Cole Grunwald went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Huron with the game winning 2 run RBI single in the top of the 7th.
