With Grunwald On The Mound, Huron Shuts Out Stevenson
Cole Grunwald looked very solid on the mound today, as the Huron Chiefs defeated Stevenson 10-0 on Saturday. Grunwald only allowed two hits in the shutout. Cole also got the offense going on a ground out that scored the first run of the contest.
The Chiefs notched five runs in the third inning. The big inning included hits by Rory Callahan, Connor Grant, Jaden Morse, and Jacob Handyside, who all drove in runs.
Grunwald was the winning pitcher for Huron. The righthander lasted six innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out six.
Huron Chiefs Varsity totaled 12 hits. Rory Callahan, Jacob Handyside, Matt Williams, and Gavin Moczydlowsky each collected multiple hits for Huron. Callahan led the Chiefs with a 3 for 3 day at the plate.
