Huron Takes Early Lead In Victory Over Belleville
Huron defeated Belleville 12-2 thanks to a strong start with the bats. The Chiefs scored early on a single by Connor Grant and a single by Ashton Warren in the first inning.
The Chiefs notched five more runs in the third inning. The rally was led by singles by Cole Grunwald, Gavin Moczydlowsky , and Micah Smith.
Luke Coll took the win on the mound for Huron. Luke surrendered two runs on one hit over five innings, striking out 12.
Huron collected 12 more hits in the first game of the double header. Moczydlowsky , Grunwald, and Warren all managed multiple hits for the Chiefs. Grunwald and Moczydlowsky each collected three hits to lead the offense for Huron. Matt Williams led the Chiefs with two stolen bases.
