Huron Chiefs Put Away Carleton Airport

The Huron Chiefs traveled to Carleton Airport on Friday night and proved to be too much to handle for the Jets.  The Chiefs rallied for 16 hits and put Airport away 7-3.

Huron opened up scoring in the first inning when Rory Callahan singled to centerfield scoring the first run of the contest.

Connor Grant and Cole Grunwald sparked a 3 run inning that broke things open for Huron.

Gavin Moczydlowsky earned the win for the Chiefs. Moczydlowsky lasted six innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out ten and walking one. Micah Smith threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Smith recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Chiefs.

Huron tallied 16 hits on the evening with a great game with bats.  Callahan, Mocydlowsky, and Grunwald all collected 3 hits on the night and Connor Grant added 2 of his own to lead the Chiefs to an impressive victory in league play.
