Huron Chiefs Claims Victory Over Divine Child
The Huron Chiefs took home a 5-1 victory over Divine Child on Thursday.
Huron evened things up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Connor Grant singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Chiefs pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Jaden Morse grounded out, scoring one run and Issac Smith singled on a 0-1 count, scoring another run.
Cole Grunwald was very good tonight and earned the victory on the mound for Huron Chiefs Varsity. The righty went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out 11 and walking one.
Huron collected ten hits on the night and Rory Callahan, Connor Grant, and Matt Williams each had multiple hits for the Chiefs in the 5-1 victory.
