Huron Chiefs Claims Victory Over St. Mary Catholic Central
The Chiefs took home a 6-2 victory against St. Mary Catholic Central at home on Wednesday afternoon.
In the first inning, Huron got their offense started when Rory Callahan singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two.
In the third Gavin Moczydlowsky 's sac fly scored one run for Huron and Cole Grunwald busted things open with a 3 run blast to right field..
Luke Coll took the mound for the on the hill. The righthander surrendered two runs on one hit over four and a third innings, striking out eight. Micah Smith threw two and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Smith recorded the last eight outs to earn the save for the Chiefs.
Callahan and Grunwald each had 2 hits for the Chiefs in their 6th win of the young season.
