Huron Chiefs Varsity Jump out to early lead over Bedford in victory, 9-5
The Chiefs came out on fire with the bats in the 2nd game of the double header. Huron came out with 4 runs in the first inning and added 3 more in the second.
Cole Grunwald got things started with an RBI double in the first inning. Grunwald, Williams and Grant all collected multiple hits for the the Chiefs. As a team, Huron compiled 11 hits against Bedford in game 2.
Xavier Elliot took the mound for the win for Huron allowing 3 runs on 5 hits through 4 innings of work. Chad Martin recorded the final 9 outs for the save and Huron took the “W” for both games at Bedford HS.
