Huron Chiefs Varsity Downs Bedford, 6-1
The Chiefs took the field at Bedford HS for their opening season debut on Saturday. The Chiefs stole the show in a 6-1 victory over the division 1 Kicking Mules on their home field.
Huron got things started in the first inning when Gavin Moczydlowsky singled to drive in the first run of the season.
Luke Coll took the mound in game 1 for the win for Huron. The righty lasted three innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out four. Cole Grunwand and Micah Smith worked from the bullpen to help keep Bedford at bay. Cole Grunwald recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for the Chiefs
The Chiefs tallied ten hits in the 1st game of the double dipper. Gavin Moczydlowsky and Matt Williams each had multiple hits to lead the Chiefs to their first victory of the season,
