The Huron Chiefs ran off with the lead late in the game in a 7-5 victory over Trenton on Saturday. The game was tied at three with Chiefs batting in the top of the sixth when Cole Grunwald hit a long solo homer to left field.

Cole Grunwald collected four hits in four at bats, for the cycle, to help lead Huron to victory. Grunwald doubled in the second, singled in the fourth, homered in the sixth, and tripled in the seventh.

The Chiefs fired up the offense in the second inning, when Grunwald doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Chase Molnar was very good on the mound for Huron earning the vicory on the hill. Molnar lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and five runs while striking out eight.  Ricky Emelian threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Emelian recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Chiefs.

The Chiefs collected 17 hits in the contest.  Grunwald led the way with 4 hits and Ethan Webb, Chase Molnar, Gavin Moczydlowsky and Micah Smith all collected multiple hits in the win.

The Huron Chiefs will visit Lansing, Michigan, as one of only 4 remaining teams in the playoffs.  This will be the first state semi-final game in school history for the Huron Chiefs.
