The Huron Chiefs got out to a five-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for a 6-4 victory over Milan on Monday, to win the Huron League.  The Chiefs are 12-0 in league play with 2 remaining games against Flat Rock on Wednesday night. 

The Chiefs got things going on offense when Chase Molnar pushed the first run across, on a ground ball to score Matt Williams. Huron pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning, when Jaden Morse doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Matt Williams singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two more runs.

Chase Molnar took the win for the Chiefs.  Molnar surrendered one run on six hits over five innings, striking out eight.  Ricky Emelian threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Emelian recorded the last six outs to earn the save for the Chiefs.

Huron tallied ten hits on the day.  Williams, Moczydlowsky and Emelian each collected multiple hits for the Chiefs.  Matt Williams led the way by going 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the Chiefs in hits.
