An early lead helped the Huron Chiefs defeat Jefferson 13-6 on Wednesday, on senior night. The Chiefs scored on a singles by Ricky Emelian, Cole Grunwald, Gavin Moczydlowsky and Brenden Pasut and a sac fly by Matt Williams, in the 1st inning
There was plenty of action on the base paths as Huron collected nine hits and ten stolen bases.
Luke Coll earned the victory on the hill for the Chiefs. The righty went four innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out five. Jayden Craig and Lake Warden entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Jayden Craig recorded the last seven outs to earn the save for the Chiefs.
Huron collected nine hits on the day. Micah Smith and Ethan Webb each collected 2 hits to lead the way for the Chiefs.
