The Huron Chiefs blew out the Airport Jets on Monday in an easy 14-4 victory
The Chiefs pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning, when Cole Grunwald singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run. Gavin Moczydlowsky also doubled on an 0-1 count, scoring another run.
Huron scored five runs in the fifth inning. Ethan Webb, Jaden Morse and Brenden Pasut all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Luke Coll led the Chiefs to victory on the hill. The pitcher lasted three and a third innings, allowing three hits and four runs. Ricky Emelian threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Emelian recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Huron.
The Huron Chiefs had ten hits in the game. Pasut, Moczydlowsky and Grunwald each managed multiple hits for the Chiefs. Brenden Pasut went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Huron in the hit department.
