MILAN HIGH SCHOOL: 2
The Huron Chiefs ran off with the lead late in the game in a 6-2 victory over Milan on Wednesday. The Chiefs trailed 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Huron scored two runs on stolen base and another on a costly error for Milan.
The Chiefs put up three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by Huron was led by Ricky Emelian and Jaden Morse, who each had RBIs in the inning. Ricky Emelian homered for the Chiefs, driving a 2 run shot over the centerfield wall.
Thomas McSwain was the winning pitcher for Chiefs. He surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out four. Luke Coll started the game for Huron and lasted 4 innings only giving up the 2 runs in the contest. Coll allowed 3 hits and struck out 5.
